The Guttenberg Housing Authority is requesting written quotes for fire safety services from qualified companies to perform the following testing:

  1. Fire Alarm testing and inspection
  2. Sprinkler testing and Inspection
  3. Standpipe testing and inspection
  4. Fire Pump testing and inspection
  5. Fire extinguishers maintenance and Inspection

The Locations for Testing and Inspection are as follows:

Joseph Macaluso Tower, 400 69th Street Guttenberg NJ 07093 Centennial Tower, 6900 Broadway Guttenberg, NJ 07093 Golden Gardens, 136 69th Street, Guttenberg, NJ 07093 Herman Klein, 7005 Blvd East, Guttenberg, NJ

The following units are equipped with Fire Alarm Systems for Hearing/Sight Impaired

  1. 400 68th Street Units 6C and 6E
  2. 6900 Broadway Units 3H, 4H and 5D
  3. 136 69th Street Units 3A and 4E
  4. 7005 Blvd East Units 11H, 7J, 5J and 3E

If awarded the contract, work must be done during the following dates: May 1, 2022-May 31, 2023

Please indicate on the quote which dates you can allocate testing and inspections.

All responses must be in by Tuesday March 1, 2022

Interested firms may obtain a copy of the complete Request for Proposals (RFP), including specifications, scope of services, and required documentation, from either the Housing Authority’s website, www.guttenberha.org, at the Housing Authority’s administrative offices between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and Friday 9:00 a.m.to 1:00 pm or by emailing Sandra Torres at storres@guttenbergha.org. Please note that any prospective respondent obtaining the RFP from the website shall be responsible for ensuring they are aware of any addendums to the RFP by verifying with the Authority’s administrative offices or by emailing Sandra Torres at storres@guttenbergha.org.

All proposals shall be submitted in a sealed envelope labeled appropriately (proposal title and return address) and delivered to Ruddys Andrade, Executive Director, Guttenberg Housing Authority, 6900 Broadway, Guttenberg, New Jersey 07093

HAND-CARRIED/MAILED/OVERNIGHT/EXPRESS MAIL DELIVERY

Proposals received after this date and time for any reason shall not be considered and will be returned to the sender. All proposals shall include any and all required documentation requested therein and a failure to abide by the RFP’s instructions in any way may lead to the proposal being rejected as non- responsive to this advertisement. Respondents are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq.

No proposal may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the receipt of proposals. The Authority reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and/or waive minor irregularities,pursuant to all applicable rules and regulations.In accordance with the criteria included in the RFPs,the contract shall be awarded to the most advantageous proposal received by the Authority with cost and other factors considered.

These RFPs is being issued pursuant to a fair and open process in accordance with N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.4 et seq.
